Women's Heart Foundation Recognizes Two Outstanding Women
In 2004, the Women's Heart Foundation of Greater Chicago was founded to support awareness, research, and educational activities related to women and heart disease.

Upon its inception, the Women's Heart Foundation team understood the importance of recognizing individuals for their hardwork, dedication and passion for making a difference not only in women but within the heart care community in general.

The Women's Heart Foundation of Greater Chicago recently recognized two outstanding women this year as recipients of its Recognition Award:

• Cindi Reuland
• Jody Knack

We applaud the efforts of both women who continue to step outside their normal routines to provide additional attention and effort to further the cause of heart disease awareness and education.  Both have been instrumental in the continued development of the Heart Sisters Support Group.  This program provides monthly educational programs, outreach to women recovering in the hospital from heart-related illness and ongoing education and advocacy in the community.
